Book and Diplomacy Session Featuring Mr. Esmaeil Baghaei Hamaneh at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Booth

<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">Continuing the "Book and Diplomacy" series of sessions, organized by the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the 36th Tehran International Book Fair, the Ministry's Publishing Department booth hosted Mr. Esmaeil Baghaei Hamaneh, then-spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">The session, which was warmly received by attendees and journalists at the fair, began with remarks from Dr. Baghaei. Recalling his past memories of the book fair, he emphasized the importance of studying history for a deeper understanding of international developments. Referring to Iran's situation during the two World Wars as well as the nuclear negotiations, he considered the study of prominent works of Persian literature, such as Kelidar and Ja-ye Khali-ye Solouch, to be highly effective in understanding the people's morale and comprehending societal issues. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson also described the book The Experience of a Crisis as useful for better understanding Iranian negotiating methods, and the book American Negotiating Behavior as beneficial and insightful for students of International Relations.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">In another part of his speech, Dr. Baghaei identified national self-belief, stemming from the experience of the Imposed War, as a fundamental factor in the Iranian nation's movement towards self-sufficiency and dignity, and stressed the seriousness of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the nuclear negotiations aimed at lifting unjust sanctions.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">It is noteworthy that the "Book and Diplomacy" series of sessions is held daily at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Publishing Department booth at the Tehran International Book Fair.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">Address: Imam Khomeini Mosalla.
