The Institute for Political and International Studies held the commemoration ceremonies of the 2nd  anniversary of martyr Major General Qasem Soleimani with the attendance of a number of state and military figures , including Ismail Qaani, Commander of the Quds force, Dr.Hossein Amir Abdollahian Foreign Minister, and the ambassadors of Palestine, Syria and Iraq at the IPIS center in Tehran on January 2, 2022.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Commander Ismail Qaani, Commander of the Quds force, while pointing to the recent statements of the Supreme Leader of the revolution in which he described the school of martyr Soleimani as the martyr’s action on the two words of “honesty” and “purity”, explained the personality and combat dimensions of martyr Major General Qasem Soleimani and stated that these two words can be seen in the word of “Walayat-following”. If a person follows Walayat (the supreme leader) they have both honesty and purity in them. Walayat-following is the pinnacle of these valuable characteristics, a path of which martyr Soleimani was both actor and master. Another dimension of his personality was that he masterly linked diplomacy and field together. The connection that martyr Soleimani established from the heart of Tehran deepened in various countries. Tehran is the pinnacle of Resistance and the Islamic revolution as well as Islamic integration.

In the following part of the ceremony, the ambassadors of Palestine, Syria and Iraq to Tehran made speeches and explained and praised the personality and combating dimensions of martyr Major General Qasem Soleimani’s personality as well as his nonstop efforts in strengthening the Resistance Axis, his courage in front of Isis and collapse of this terrorist group.

Also, in another part of the ceremony, pursuing the legal aspects of martyrdom of Major General Qasem Soleimani as well as the political aspects of his personality were pointed to. In this part, Mr.Kazem Gharibabadi, the International Deputy for the Judiciary and Secretary of the Human Rights Committee, Mohammad Fathali, Deputy for Administrative and Financial Affairs,  Reza Najafi, Deputy for International and Legal Affairs, and Alireza Bikdeli, Acting Consular,Parliamentrary and Iranians Affairs Deputy of the Foreign Ministry discussed  the criminal US act of terrorism in assassinating Major General Qasem Soleimani and stated that the US act was in violation of the self-defense principles and  conditions in the law of armed hostilities and in no way would be included under article 51 of the UN charter. Also, the US terrorist act violated the contents of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Crimes against Internationally Protected Persons, including Political Officers dated December 14, 1973 and the Islamic Republic of Iran is entitled to pursue the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani at the domestic and international courts. Regarding the political dimensions of General Qasem Suleimani’s personality, the standards, patterns, and turning points that he made clear for us and his managing and guiding role in foiling the plans of the Dominance System, which meant to disrupt the Resistance Axis by creating ISIS, could be pointed to.
