 Addressing the event, Amirabdollahian highlighted the Forum's inception as a step towards fostering a more culturally rich and peaceful global community.

He emphasized the significance of inter-civilizational cooperation as a form of soft power among member states, capable of introducing a new discourse in the global arena and contributing to solving common human challenges.

 The top Iranian diplomat emphasized

 countering narratives of supremacy, dominance, exclusivity, and racism is among the missions of ancient civilizations.

 He said the current global landscape is reeling from domination, violence, the instrumentalization of international principles, norms, and double standards.

Amirabdollahian also drew attention to the distressing situation in Gaza, highlighting over seven decades of occupation and ongoing crimes perpetrated by the Israeli regime. He lamented the silence of so-called proponents of a rule-based world and human rights champions.

Condemning the Zionist regime's actions resulting in the massacre of over 20,000 Gazans, the displacement of Gaza residents, and the destruction of Islamic cultural monuments in the holy Quds and Gaza, he urged countries with ancient civilizations to denounce these crimes and utilize their capabilities to halt the situation, advocating for the prosecution of war criminals in international courts.

The Iranian Foreign Minister continued by condemning insults to holy books, specifically the Holy Quran. He urged responsible governments to criminalize and prosecute those responsible, emphasizing the role of governments in preserving civilized, cultural, and religious interactions among nations.

Comprising the Islamic Republic of Iran, Armenia, Italy, Bolivia, Peru, China, Iraq, Egypt, Mexico, and Greece, the Ancient Civilizations Forum was established in 2017. Iran assumed the periodic chairmanship of the forum and hosted the assembly in 2023.
