Dr. Atsushi Sunami the president of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation on Tuesday February 27 2024 in the presence of the researchers of the Institute for Political and International Studies presented his opinions and points of view regarding the state of the international system and developments in the Middle East including the Gaza crisis and discussed and exchanged opinions with the experts present in the meeting.

Dr. Atsushi Sunami, the president of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in the presence of the researchers of the Institute for Political and International Studies, presented his opinions and points of view regarding the state of the international system and developments in the Middle East, including the Gaza crisis, and discussed and exchanged opinions with the experts present in the meeting. Dr. Sunami also met and talked with some senior officials and diplomats of our country during his two-day trip to Tehran. In the meeting of Mr. Sunami with Mr. Dr. Sheikholeslami, the president of the Institute for Political and International Studies, the parties discussed and exchanged opinions regarding the latest regional and international developments and bilateral relations between Iran and Japan, the fields of future cooperation between the two institutions, including holding the twelfth round of joint roundtables in Tehran and the exchange of research and student groups. The Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation have a long history of cooperation and interaction with each other in various fields of research, education, and public diplomacy.
