On Sunday, March 10, 2024, a meeting was held to commemorate the anniversary of the adoption of the resolution to combat Islamophobia at the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Human and Women's Rights Studies Department. In the meeting as mentioned above, which was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Sheikholeslami, the President of the Institute for Political and International Studies, Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Mustafa Boroujerdi, a member of the faculty member of the School of International Relations, gave a speech on the topic: The idea of Islamophobia, the political motivations of the designers, realities, and consequences. Also, Dr. Mohsen Qanei, the head of the Development and Human Rights Commitments Department, regarding the review of international documents in the process of adopting the resolution, and Mr. Ravankhah, the head of the Foundation for Dialogue and Friendship of Nations, regarding Islamophobia in Europe with a focus on France presented their opinions, and at the end, Dr. Sheikholeslami summarized the topics presented. The United Nations General Assembly unanimously approved the resolution to combat Islamophobia on March 15, 2022. The Islamic Republic of Iran, along with Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Jordan, managed the negotiations.
