A joint meeting between the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation of Japan was held at the IPIS headquarters with the participation of Dr. Atsushi Sunami President of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation and a group of IPIS researchers.

A joint meeting between the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation of Japan was held at the IPIS headquarters with the participation of Dr. Atsushi Sunami, President of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, and a group of IPIS researchers.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on key bilateral, regional, and international issues.Dr. Sunami, in his remarks to the IPIS scholars, elaborated on the new Japanese government’s approach to international affairs and discussed prospects for academic and intellectual cooperation between the twocountries. He also engaged in an open dialogue and exchange of views with the attending experts.

Expressing satisfaction with the continuation of such dialogues, Dr. Sunami emphasized the importance of expanding researcher and student exchanges and strengthening joint educational and research collaborations.

The IPIS and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation enjoy a long-standing history of cooperation and have maintained active and effective interaction in the fields of research, education, and public diplomacy.
