Meeting between Senior Executive of Canon Institute for Global Studies and Head of the Institute for Political and International Studies

On Sunday April 27 2025 a delegation from the Canon Institute for Global Studies (CIGS) of Japan led by Nobuo Tanaka former Executive Director of the International Energy Agency and Senior Executive Advisor at CIGS met and held discussions with Saeed Khatibzadeh Head of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS). During the meeting both sides emphasized the necessity of expanding bilateral cooperation between think tanks developing scientific and research ties exchanging experiences in the field of energy and examining regional and international developments.

<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">On Sunday, April 27, 2025, a delegation from the Canon Institute for Global Studies (CIGS) of Japan, led by Nobuo Tanaka, former Executive Director of the International Energy Agency and Senior Executive Advisor at CIGS, met and held discussions with Saeed Khatibzadeh, Head of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS). During the meeting, both sides emphasized the necessity of expanding bilateral cooperation between think tanks, developing scientific and research ties, exchanging experiences in the field of energy, and examining regional and international developments.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">Following this meeting, the CIGS delegation participated in a specialized roundtable with senior experts from the IPIS and Iranian energy specialists. This session provided an opportunity to discuss in greater detail the topics highlighted in the previous meeting, particularly in the areas of energy and scientific and think-tank collaborations. Participants in this session engaged in in-depth discussion and exchange of views on current trends in the energy sector and opportunities for cooperation.</p> <p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;"> </p>
